Xerox Engineering System's X2-TECH Color Inkjet Now Available With AccXES Controller (February 07, 2002) Xerox Engineering Systems (XES), the leader in wide-format document management solutions, today announced that its X2-TECH color inkjet printer is now available with the industry standard AccXES Controller. A new release of XES' AccXES Controller software (v7.5), combined with the Synergix Scan System, brings increased power to the X2-TECH. The X2-TECH now delivers the fastest processing time in the industry for both monochrome and color prints, and has new scan to file capability that enables two-step color copying.

"XES is the first manufacturer to integrate color scalability into the technical documents environment," said John Duerden, CEO of Xerox Engineering Systems. "Adding the AccXES Controller to the X2-TECH is a significant development for us--and a win for our customers, because it combines our broad knowledge of monochrome printing and network technology with excellence in the world of color. Our promise is clear: XES scalability delivers investment protection from monochrome to color."

The AccXES Controller leads the industry in RIP speed with a processing engine unmatched by traditional host- or PC-based systems. AccXES was specifically designed to render complex technical documents with speed and precision. Unlike other controllers, AccXES does not rely on heavy operating systems that are costly and system resource intensive.
