Battered Rahm
 Battered Rahm
Rahm Emanuel — one of the most celebrated political tacticians of his era — is in an unusual position heading into Tuesday’s mayoral election: battered, bruised and limping to the finish line. He has massively out-fundraised his rivals, a ragtag group of less well known, and far less skilled, politicos. He’s flooded TV airwaves with splashy commercials. Sources say he’s been consulting his old boss, Chicago’s own Barack Obama, about the race on a regular basis; the president has cut radio ads for Emanuel and trekked to the city on Thursday to stump for him. Yet for all that, Emanuel, a top White House aide in two administrations and an ex-congressman, may not win a majority of the vote. That embarrassing scenario would force him into an April runoff — and mean six more weeks of defending the nonstop controversy that’s been the hallmark of his time as mayor.

Smith's Overbrook Entertainment will produce the action-thriller along with Adam Kolbrenner of Madhouse Entertainment. Madhouse's Robyn Meisinger will exec produce. Paramount's Alana Mayo was the exec that championed the project in a competitive situation.
