Samsung Unveils Radiant Ads For Galaxy S5, Gear 2 And Gear Fit
Samsungs advertisements have traditionally been rooted in reality, showcasing new devices and slamming the competition, which is why the latest spots appear to come from out of left field. Posted on Tuesday, Samsungs new commercials are an imaginative, fantastical look at the just-launched lineup of devices: the Galaxy S5 , Gear 2 and Gear Fit . Split into five parts, the first ad focuses on the “seamless communication of the Gear 2, allowing users to quickly check messages and reminders without reaching into their pockets. Read More

Content Insider #331 - Power of Choice
Content Insider #331 - Power of Choice
NAB was even more lively this year because so many people were scrambling. Cable folks were bristling that they're still the gateway to the home TV. Rusting big iron producers in the Central Hall were saying how important they were. South Hall was totally busy with people who understood the industry is rapidly changing to OTT/IPTV and it was already 4K ready. Everyone wanted to control the consumer but he/she saw the fiber pipe to the home as a way out of paying for 100s of channels they never or hardly ever watched. More importantly people wanted their content on their terms at their times. Freedom of choice is something we all want...right? Read More

Silvio Berlusconi has asked to serve his one-year sentence for tax fraud helping disabled people, judicial sources said ahead of a hearing to decide what form of punishment the former Italian prime minister will receive. INS Vikrant Finally Sold For Scrap, Activist Moves Apex Court
India's first aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant has finally been auctioned to a ship-breaker for Rs.60 crore and an activist Wednesday moved the apex court in a last ditch bid to save the vessel which saw action in the 1971 India-Pakistan war. It was sold through an auction to Mumbai's IB Commercials Pvt. Ltd., but details are awaited. The once-imposing vessel, commissioned by the Indian Navy in 1961, was decommissioned in 1997 and has been kept on anchor at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. Read More

'Paranormal Activity' Blu-ray Release Tuesday
'Paranormal Activity' Blu-ray Release Tuesday
Flouting Hollywoods typical moviemaking philosophy that “more is more,” Blumhouse impresario Jason Blum has created an empire for himself over the past seven years with a series of (comparatively) microbudget productions modeled on the success of Paranormal Activity, whose $15,000 production earned some $193 million, and spawned four sequels (and counting). Since then hes launched the Insidious and Purge franchises, crafted remakes, spinoffs and plenty of original projects, and become the poster child for low costs, high concepts and massive rewards. And fans will be happy to hear about the April 8 Blu-ray release of Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. Read More

The Alpha A7S features a 12-MP full-frame sensor, 4K video recording and a light sensitivity range of ISO 50 to 409,600. Content Insider #332 - Video Consistency
On the eve of NAB I just read where kids watch an average of 40 hours of TV a week and you wonder why they're numb from the neck down and dumb from the neck up! Most of the parents I know sharply restrict/monitor their kids viewing habits even though they (and the parents) want quality content everywhere. It will come but still don't think the super high quality 4K streaming media we'll get (program schedules are fading memories) will make make the zombies, vampires, werewolves any more interesting. But Cosmos that's a great series...can't wait to see how it ends. Read More
