Albis Technologies Executive to Address Evolution of Hybrid Services at CSTB 2013
Company Will Also Demonstrate Comprehensive Range of HD IPTV Set-Top Boxes, Including Recently Introduced SceneGate Micro II
(January 10, 2013)
Albis Technologies announced today that Samina Husain, the company's senior business development manager, will address the challenges today's cable operators face in delivering cutting-edge new television services during a presentation at CSTB 2013 in Moscow. Husain will explain how cable operators can address market challenges, user demands, and new services, as well as earn additional revenue, by implementing a hybrid IP platform. Conference organizers will confirm the exact time and date of each presentation prior to the event.
Albis Technologies will also be exhibiting at CSTB on booth 525, where attendees can view demonstrations of the company's comprehensive range of HD IPTV set-top boxes (STBs) designed to optimize the end user experience and enable service differentiations for service providers.
At CSTB 2013, Albis Technologies will demonstrate its new SceneGate(TM) Micro II, an innovative HD IPTV STB capable of delivering linear TV, VoD, OTT, and PVR services from a compact design that effectively ensures low standby power consumption. Capable of supporting HD resolution up to 1080p via an HDMI(R) 1.4a interface, the 3D TV ready device helps service providers deploy a more competitive and exclusive service offering, ensuring a higher quality of service for subscribers. Albis Technologies will also highlight other products within the SceneGate portfolio, including the 8100, 8000, and Micro, all of which offer customization, high-performance HD decoding, exceptional display quality, and DLNA-based media sharing to enable in-home streaming and multiroom environments.
"Today's cable operators are challenged to offer traditional broadcast programming as well as innovative new services like VoD and PVR services," said Husain. "My CSTB presentation, along with our exhibitor booth demonstrations, will explore how operators can leverage existing broadcast delivery systems with next-generation, IP-based technology to deliver a superior quality of service to end users."
Prior to joining Albis Technologies, Husain worked in the R&D division of Siemens Switzerland as well as in solutions management at Nokia Siemens Networks IPTV solution. She currently specializes in STB business development, with more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry through various roles from network operations to project management. Husain holds a bachelor of electrical engineering from Concordia University, Montreal and an executive master of business administration from the University of Lausanne.
